Eco Urinal by Yeongwoo Kim is an iF Concept Design 2010 winning entry! The idea is simple – to save water: when you wash your hand after using the toilet, the used water flushes the urinal as well. I have no idea if it really works and if men like this idea but at least it looks really stylish

Finish student of Art & Design Maria Kivijärvi won the public vote in the Paulig’s Tahto & Taito Will & Skill competition for young and talented designers for her cake server. Cake server is made of high quality single piece of stainless steel. It links the perfect design and functionality. It not only cuts a cake but by pressing a little from sides you can lift a piece of cake and serve it.

Clothes hangar? Is it a spelling mistake? No it‘ s just a hanger inspired by an aircraft and thus hangar. The Clothes hangar has a siluette of aircraft and it is available in various bright colours so it does not only cheer you up when you hang your clothes into a wardrobe but it is great to play with.

In Out Bottle by Yan-Ting Chen & Hsin Yeh

In Out bottle designed by Yan-Ting Chen, a young successful designer based in New York and Taiwan, and Hsin Yeh, his co-worker in several works was recently awarded by the IDEA Design 2010.
The bottle’s funnel-shaped cover is made of silica gel, allowing its shape to be easily changed. So when users want to refill the bottle, they just press the silica gel cover down and pour the sugar in. I guess it is very useful for any kind of ingredients like salt or spices.

Espresso Solo by Shmuel Linski

Increadible! A concrete espresso machine. The designer is Shmuel Linski, a student of Shenkar College of Engineering and Design. The espresso machine called Espresso Solo is made of concrete base and metal working parts which produces short and long espresso. Linski says about his work: “I chose concrete. I had a vision: concrete in the kitchen, not only as a wall or decorative part, I wanted it to be a desirable consumer product.”

I know how disgusting can be cleaning of the toiler drain, especially if you have long hair or you are hairy . However. Carack Drain is a cute blue smiling head that tells you by nodding up and down that you should clean the drain. Then you just take it (touching the head), shake it, and without even touching the old hair you empty it and it is ready for another usage! Carack Drain Design is a cute useful help for your household. The head is made of rubber and the rest is made of stainless vertcal.

Multi-functional product called EGY is a baby buggy, a baby chair and a mobile bed at the same time. It was design by product design student Lenka Kovalčíková. Due to its mobility it is ideal for babies who prefer sleeping at one place and do not like oscillating between buggy, bed and baby chair. EGY has a simple design the material and color can be modified according to users´ taste .
